Sooooooooo, I've been hoarding some stuff for a while and it's time to bust it out. In commemoration of the impending election, we're cracking open an 11 year vertical of Three Floyd's Dark Lord, 2004-2014. Yes, that's right, we're opening up one of likely only a handful left of bottles from the first vintage of this intense, dark, insanely delicious beer. In addition, we're throwing in a couple of Barrel Aged variants to round out the ridiculousness...just cause. No, they won't be the super whaley ones but it's still BA Dark Lord so it should be awesome.
To help out, our buddy "Dr" Bill will be coming by to co-host the event and make sure we all have a good time.
Chef Chuy has put together a pretty amazing food line up for the night worthy of the insanity that is the Dark Lord:
Course 1 - Smoked Mongolian Ahi
Course 2 - Aligator Ribs with Creole BBQ
Course 3 - Lamb Golubtsi
Course 4 - Blackened Eye of Ribeye with Coal Potatoes and Black Radish
Course 5 - Chocolate Macaroons with Espresso and Coconut Ash Ice Cream
As is typical with one of our cellar dinners, we will be sneaking out back afterwards to smoke cigars as we enjoy the last course. Might as well smoke'em while we got'em....the Dark Lord is coming on election night....
